INUTEQ-DRY® EVAPORATIVE COOLING products

Is the INUTEQ-DRY® technology safe?
Yes. It contains non-toxic ingredients, is CE certificated and is REACH compliant.

How does it work?
Simply fill with water, the special fabric absorbs the water very quickly and releases it very slowly through evaporation for extended cooling. Due to the unique technology system, the INUTEQ-DRY® products will not become wet or soggy, making it suitable to wear the vest underneath clothing.

How to activate my INUTEQ-DRY® product?
*Open the valve or zip-lock closure.
*Fill the product with clean water and then close the valve or zip-lock closure. Follow the label instructions for the amount of water needed for the product. Do not overfill!.
*Divide the water equally through the product.
*Open the valve or zip-lock closure, to remove excess air and water. Close the valve or zip-lock closure. Ready to wear.

What is the cooling duration of an INUTEQ-DRY® product?
INUTEQ-DRY® products offer up to 3 days of cooling comfort, depending on temperature / airflow / humidity level.

How much cooling can I expect from an INUTEQ-DRY® product?
The INUTEQ-DRY products provide 5C / 41F up to 15C / 59F cooling relief under the ambient temperature. The ambient temperature, level of airflow and humidity determines the cooling effect and cooling duration.

What to expect from an evaporative cooling vest?
Wearing a cooling vest is NOT like the airco in your car. Although a cooling vest will cool you down substantiously, your body will quickly adopt to the new temperature and you will not feel the cold so directly anymore, but the cooling vest will continue to cool you down, so don't worry.
You can compare it with jumping into a swimming pool, where initially it will feel cold, but you'll get used to it quickly.
Also like in the swimming pool, the temperature of an evaporative cooling vest is depending on the outside temperature, humidity and wind. It is relative to these conditions. Please note that high humidity will diminish the fabric's ability to evaporate water and therefore provide cooling. This will sometimes not give you the cooling you want or need. But just remember: without the cooling vest it would have been much worse.

Does the INUTEQ-DRY® product work in any condition?
The INUTEQ-DRY® cooling products are designed to be worn in an environment with an ambient temperature that is not extreme, and the products perform best in low to medium humidity. For use in extreme environments where heat is generated by industrial activities and where the user needs to wear hazardous / airtight suits, the INUTEQ-DRY® cooling products are not appropriate to offer adequate protection against heat stress. For such conditions, we recommend our INUTEQ-PAC® bio-PCM cooling products

What is the lifespan of the INUTEQ-DRY® products?
INUTEQ-DRY products are designed to provide up to 750 water fill cycles.

Can the products be reused?
Yes. Just make sure you hang them to dry when not in use

How much will the INUTEQ-DRY® items weigh?
The weight of an activated INUTEQ-DRY® cooling vest is approx. 600 - 800 grams, the cooling cap approx. 150 grams.

How can I wash the INUTEQ-DRY® garments?
Yes, the INUTEQ-DRY® products are machine home washable 40 degrees Celsius, use mild detergents. Hang dry only, no ironing, no dry cleaning. Always close the valve or zip-lock style closure when washing.

inuteq-h2o® evaporative cooling products

Is INUTEQ-H2O® cooling fabric safe?
Yes. It contains non-toxic ingredients, is CE certificated and is REACH compliant.

How does it work?
The special cooling fabric is sewn into the lining of all our INUTEQ-H2O® powered products. This cooling fabric absorbs water very quickly and releases it very slowly through evaporation for extended cooling.

How to activate my INUTEQ-H2O® product?
*Soak the product in water for 1 to 2 minutes.
*Gently squeeze out the excess water.
*Eventually wipe dry the water repellent liner (vest / headwear) with a towel before use.
*Product is ready to wear.

What is the cooling duration of an INUTEQ-H2O® product?
INUTEQ-H2O® products offer 2 to 6 hours of cooling comfort, depending on temperature / airflow and humidity level.

What is the lifespan of the INUTEQ-H2O fabric?
The INUTEQ-H2O® cooling fabric is developed to provide up to 200 wet/dry cycles (activations). The water absorbency will decrease over time as the INUTEQ-H2O® fibers entangle within the fabric structure. You possibly may see a decline in the absorption of water after the first 10 wet/dry cycles, but absorbency will remain relatively stable after then. This is a normal process, and the fabric is still very effective at water absorption, evaporation, and so cooling capacity. Absorbency will also be impacted by garment care and water quality.

How to store the INUTEQ-H2O® products?
In wet condition: do not store contained without ventilation for more than 12h when not dry. In dry condition: unlimited dry and dark storage.

inuteq-PVA® evaporative cooling products

How do cooling INUTEQ-PVA® products keep you cool?
The INUTEQ-PVA® products are made of highly absorbent and evaporative material. Once wet, the product produces a cooling effect with the help of simple evaporation. As long as the product is wet, exposed to the air and allowed to breathe, the product will evaporate and cool the user.

But just remember: without the cooling vest it would have been much worse.

Does an INUTEQ-PVA® towel cool better than a soft cooling towel?
No. The cooling received from both PVA and soft towels is similar, the difference is in how long they last. The INUTEQ-PVA® towel will typically hold more water and as such will last longer. A soft towel will need to be re-wet more often, but stays soft even when dry.

How do I reactivate my INUTEQ-PVA® product when it stops cooling?
Simply re-wet the product with cool water to reactivate the evaporative cooling process.

Can I put the INUTEQ-PVA® cooling product in the freezer or refrigerator?
The PVA products can be placed in a refrigerator, but not in a freezer. Since the PVA material is loaded with water when in use, placing in the freezer will cause it to freeze and become brittle. Be sure to wash the towel before using and storing. We recommend putting the product in the storage tube (delivered with the product) in the refrigerator.

What happens if my INUTEQ-PVA® product dries out and becomes stiff?
Simply re-wet the product by soaking it in water. Once it becomes soft, wring out the excess water and re-wet with cool water prior to use. DO NOT try to separate or fold the product when stiff as it may damage the INUTEQ-PVA® fabric.

How long will the PVA towel last? Will the PVA towel become less effective with age?
With proper care and storage the INUTEQ-PVA® cooling fabric will last and provide evaporating cooling for several years.

Can the INUTEQ-PVA® towel be cut?
Yes, the towel has an internal mesh reinforcing material that will allow you to cut it into any shape that fits your needs.

Can I wear my PVA towel under clothes at night or when I am sleeping?
No, we do not recommend it. In order to evaporate effectively, the towels should be allowed to breathe and be exposed to air when in use. In fact, turning the towel periodically when in extended use will help the evaporation and cooling process and allow skin to "breathe" as well.

Is the PVA towel material recyclable?
Yes, the organic nature of the material allows the towel to be ground up and blended with soil to help dry soil retain moisture. It’s completely inert and will slowly decompose and become a part of the environment.

My skin developed what looks to be a rash while using the PVA product. What happened?
While the PVA material is medically safe and has been tested to be non-allergenic, prolonged uninterrupted use may cause redness or a mild rash to individuals with very sensitive skin. The PVA material is so absorptive that if it begins to dry out and starve for moisture it can pull moisture and oil from your skin, resulting in redness or mild rash. If that’s the case, the best solution is to make sure the product has plenty of moisture in it and to take a break from using it every hour. If you experience a reaction, discontinue the use of the product immediately.
